I love quotes. I’m a quote lover. And I’m a quote hoarder, so I don’t buy that quote for myself. It doesn’t work for me. But in any case, this is a quote of my own.
What I like about quotes is that they make people feel special. “The truth is, I have an awesome job. I get to live an awesome life.” “I never want anything for myself.” “The truth is, I have a good job. I get to go to awesome parties.” “The truth is, I’m a really good person.” “The truth is, I’m not afraid of hard work. I’m not afraid of anything.
I dont care. Im not. I want to be told I am great. I dont care. I want to be told I am good. I dont care. I want to be told I am smart. I dont care. I want to be told I am strong. I dont care. I want to be told I am amazing. I dont care. I shouldnt care.
That’s the truth of the matter. The truth of the matter is that if you’re not willing to put in the hard work necessary to get what you want, you’re not going to get it. This is one of the main reasons why successful people don’t get what they want. They work so hard, they lose the will to live and they die.
For those of you who don’t know, I actually worked for a CEO of a Fortune 500 company who was the head of strategy for two different companies and was the most successful man in the world. I was told I was good because I made him money and I was the one who got him laid. I was told I was smart because I was the one who got him laid and I was the one who got him the job.
I think you have to have a great deal of grit and determination to get what you want and you also have to be willing to die to get it. If you just wake up and say, “I Want This, I Want That, I Want This, I Want That,” you’ve missed the boat on this. That is exactly what I was told when I started out. I was told I was going to be the next CEO.
At the very least, you have to have a high tolerance for disappointment. As it turns out, though, some people do have a great deal of grit and determination to get what they want. They just don’t know it. And in a lot of cases, they are the people who get screwed over.
We recently covered a study that showed that a certain type of person is more likely to get what they want after receiving a death threat. In fact, a study of over 3.5 million people showed that you are more likely to get what you want after receiving a death threat if you are also highly competitive. The study indicated that people who are competitive about their successes have a better chance of getting what they want than those who are not. This makes sense since we all need to be competitive.
That being said, the study wasn’t done on people who are simply looking for a place to park their car. It’s the case that the people who do get what they want after receiving threats are those who are highly competitive, and we can see that this is true in our society. People who are highly competitive and therefore have a high chance of getting what they want are more likely to get it than those who are not.
This is important because it shows that we can change our minds and change our behavior. This is not always the case in all situations, but in those where we do change our minds, we are more likely to act on those changed beliefs.
