Today I shared three quotes that I use every day, in fact, one of the most common I use every day. When I have a little time to myself, I like to read through some of the most common quotes to use as a daily reminder of what I should be doing. There’s a lot of great quotes out there, and this one from a recent study I did, is a good one to use.

We are all aware of the idea of “what is normal?” It’s a difficult question to answer, but it seems like we all tend to have our own standards for what is or isn’t “normal”. For example, if you’ve ever watched television, you’ve seen the scene where the news anchor says, “There are no bombs in Iraq.

Well, I think that that is pretty normal. Like I said, a TV news anchor is generally only doing their job by bringing news. So if they were actually saying that there was no bombs, then it would have been brought up by someone else.

Yes, a TV news anchor is usually not making a statement like that, but they are saying the same thing. This is often called “normalization”.

Sometimes you just have to do a few sentences to be able to do their job. If you use a sentence to say something about your day, that sentence is usually the most appropriate. If you use an example sentence about your day, then you are probably thinking of something else.

Some times it can be useful to use the sentence. Here’s a good example from a recent news broadcast.

I think this is the worst example of normalization. It’s not even pretty to read. You write a paragraph in your head each time you say something, but you don’t know how to type it. The best you can do is to write a couple sentences in your head, and then type them into the paper with your pencil.

Normal usage varies from person to person. A lot of the time we use the most common usage of a word or phrase. In other cases we use the most appropriate usage, or the way we would use it in our speech. I think this is true of many of our everyday words too.
