That might not be a coincidence,” whereas people without self-awareness just hit the bottle and don’t look back. It’s not that they aren’t aware of what they are doing.
I know, but they arent looking. Theyre just pretending to be. Its very easy to hide from reality when youre not aware youre doing it.
In general, I think we’re all guilty of this. When you have a job, you can just go in your normal day, and forget about it. But when you get home, the little voice inside you is screaming, “Get outta here!” when you get in the shower, when you walk in the house, etc.
When you have a job, you know the rules. You know you can say no to your boss, you know that you can say no to your friends. You know you can say no to your parents. In short, you know your limits. But then, when you get home, and the voice inside you is screaming, Get out of here when you get in the shower, when you walk in the house, etc. you no longer know what to do.
The quote from the old adage, “If you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all.” It basically just means that you know that you can’t lie to anyone if it means breaking the law. Because you know that if you lie to someone, they can sue you for violating the law.
And if you do lie, you can be liable for the consequences. So it’s best to just stay away.
