L’s and combs quotes are great ideas – they’re easy to read, they’re simple to understand, and they’re very interesting to read.
In the past four days we’ve gotten a few more of these quotes, and luke combs has a new quote “You can’t change what you can’t see.
The two quotes that luke combs had the most comments on were, “the light bulb clicked and it exploded” and “i’m gonna go to sleep now and you can still see me”. The first one was funny because it was so true, but the second one was pretty profound. It was so profound that the author of the quote, who we think is the film director Louis Malle, said that he couldn’t sleep until he read it.
For those of us who grew up with all the classic sci-fi films of the 1960s, it can get pretty exhausting trying to find a quote that is either funny or profound. Some of the most memorable lines that have made an impression on us include “It’s like the story of a man being hanged in the desert and his dog jumps on his chest and says ‘Hey, look over here!'” and “I wanna go home, I can feel the blood in my veins.
This is literally what Louis Malle said about his own film. He also said that he had the whole scene locked up in his head for months before he even saw it, and couldn’t get it out until he read it.
This is a very interesting quote, in spite of some of the very same words I used in the trailer. It’s a great way to get a sense of the situation.
I’ve heard that the story of the young man being hanged in the desert has a very tense ending. The scene we saw about his death and his dog jumping on his chest was so interesting. The story of the dog jumping on his chest and his dog saying Hey! He was hanging in the desert is one of the things that I think is the most interesting for me to watch, as is the scene where the body gets dumped on the floor.
I’ve seen it happen before. As a kid I was fascinated by the idea of animals being killed by the wind, and how people can be able to take them alive. The idea of dogs being killed by the wind is great and inspiring. So it’s not surprising that people who are not aware of animals being killed by the wind actually get confused and can’t grasp the meaning of the word. That was one of the main reasons I wanted to do it.
The wind is the only source of light in Blackreef. Without it, the island is dark and nightmarish, but with it the island is brightly lit and full of people, so the wind is definitely a source of light. So it seems that the body gets dumped on the ground because a dog who was killed by the wind is back on his island, and he’s been unable to find any food and has to sleep. But I don’t know how the dog found his island.
